Interested in setting up an international project with a partner from the Netherlands and other countries? On Wednesday the 12th of October 2016, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the EUREKA secretariat will organise an Eurostars event dedicated to the Eurostars Programme. Therefore we would like to bring this event to your attention.

The focus of the Annual Eurostars event is two folded.

1. Project building
An important part of the programme is reserved for the matchmaking of companies and research organisations from the Netherlands and 35 other Eurostars countries. The matchmaking  is organised by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). During the event companies are also invited to pitch their ideas to a group of peers. Eurostars is bottom up, this means that representatives from all technology fields are welcome to participate in the programme and, therefore, at the Annual event. However, the event will focus in particular on:

• Life Sciences and Health
• ICT and Electronics
• Industrial manufacturing, materials and transport
• Energy technologies
• Food technologies

2. Providing information
Several representatives of the Eurostars Secretariat (Brussels) and national Eurostars offices will participate in the event. This gives you the opportunity to learn more about the Eurostars programme (application process, eligibility rules, tips and tricks for writing a successful application) and the national funding rules of your potential project partners. In addition, you can discuss your idea in detail with them.

Matchmaking
Matchmaking between companies (SMEs) and research institutes from both the Netherlands and abroad will be an important part of this event. During the afternoon participants will have the opportunity to attend pre-arranged, one-on-one meetings. The matchmaking will be organised in close cooperation with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). The Event will conclude with a networking reception where project ideas can be discussed with representatives of several national Eurostars offices, including the Brussels Eurostars Secretariat.

Excursions on 13th of October
On Thursday, 13th of October, some excursions will be organised for the participants of the Eurostars event. At the moment, the specific locations are not yet known. Please check the website regularly for more information about these additional excursions.

Health~Holland presents at leading partnering event, 7 - 9 November 2016 at the BIO-Europe in Cologne, Germany.

From 7-9 November, the Health~Holland pavilion will be at BIO-Europe in Cologne, Germany, to present the strengths of the Dutch Life Sciences sector. BIO-Europe is Europe’s largest partnering conference and serves the global biotechnology industry. The annual conference attracts leading dealmakers from biotech, pharma and finance along with the most exciting emerging companies. Some 3,500 life sciences dealmakers are expected to attend BIO-Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to present the Dutch Life Sciences & Health sector, according to Top Sector LSH.
