The Masterclass offers new entrepreneurs guidance in business skills and personal development. More than 40 life sciences entrepreneurs, experienced lecturers and professional coaches teach during 6 different modules. The modules focus on business elements, which are essential for product development in the life sciences, such as: intellectual property rights, contracts, licensing, communication and financing. The studied tools help participants to further develop their business plans. The most promising start-up with the best business plan receives the BioBusiness Masterclass award.

The winner of the 2013 edition of the BioBusiness Masterclass award is Quirem Medical. This innovative medical device company develops the next generation microspheres for targeted treatment of liver tumors.
