Health funds and Top Sector LSH collaborate in a new call ‘Beter Gezond’ on chronic illnesses

Create a large measure of support with a disease-transcendent call

More than 8 million people in the Netherlands have a chronic illness. Halve of them even have multiple chronic illnesses. This has an enormous impact on their quality of life, on our economy, and on our society. Therefore our challenge is to reduce this impact. And the collaborative health funds and Top Sector Life Sciences & Health (LSH) are joining forces to do just that.

‘Beter Gezond’ is a collaboration between more than 20 funds of the collaborative health funds and the Top Sector LSH. They will jointly make 3 million euros available (in the form of co-funding a maximum of 50% of the research costs) for research that leads to innovative solutions that enable people with a chronic illness to live lives that are as fit and fulfilled as possible.

Do you want to contribute to research that enables people, despite their illness, to fully participate in society? Do you have a good patient-oriented solution in mind that you want to investigate further  but for which you lack the resources and partners to realise this? The new ‘Beter Gezond’ call is your chance!

For further information watch the video-call of ‘Beter Gezond’ or visit the website www.SGFBeterGezond.nl. The call closes on 30 June 2017.
